New York Giants wide receiver Cole Beasley has asked the team for his release, according to Mike Garafolo. The organization and the veteran wideout have mutually agreed to go their own ways. This makes sense considering the 34-year-old hasn't suited up for the team yet this season. Beasley has been stuck on the practice squad and will now get the chance to look elsewhere for a better opportunity. It's tough to imagine Beasley having fantasy value on any team, but we'll wait and see what happens.

The Carolina Panthers placed wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, which means he'll have to miss at least the next four games. With just six games remaining in the regular season, there's a good chance Shenault has played his last game in 2023. The 25-year-old suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 6 but only missed three games with a bye mixed in. However, Shenault suffered a new ankle injury in the Week 12 loss to the Tennessee Titans and will now miss at least the next four games. He hasn't been on the fantasy radar this year with only 10 receptions for 60 yards while adding 12 carries for 55 yards. With Shenault out, Terrace Marshall Jr. has the clearest path to WR4 duties in Carolina behind Adam Thielen, DJ Chark Jr. and rookie Jonathan Mingo.
