Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (finger, rib) was placed on the injured reserve on Thursday. The 27-year-old is dealing with multiple injuries that are going to force him to miss the first four weeks of the regular season. However, Wilson's agent expects Wilson to return ahead of the Week 5 matchup against the New York Giants. That is great news considering the team didn't offer much of a timetable for Wilson's return. The Dolphins might only be without Wilson for four games, which isn't too bad. In his absence, Raheem Mostert and rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder) are expected to have bigger roles in the offense.

So far in 2023, Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has been utilized as the team's featured back. After the team selected Zach Charbonnet in the second round of the NFL Draft, there was speculation that Walker's workload was under threat. The second-year player has 34 touches through the first two weeks of 2023, while Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas have yet to break double digits. Against the Lions in Week 2, Walker only ran for 43 yards but was able to get into the end zone twice. This Sunday the Seahawks face the Carolina Panthers who have given up 264 yards on the ground so far this year. Walker is a must-start in Week 3.
