Vikings Cut Jordan Ta'amu

Monday, August 28, 7:59 PM

The Minnesota Vikings cut quarterback Jordan Ta'amu on Monday. The Vikings just added Ta'amu at training camp a week ago, but they didn't see enough from him in that limited time to justify keeping him on their final 53-man roster to open the 2023 regular season. Kirk Cousins is the team's obvious starter, with veteran Nick Mullens backing him up and rookie Jaren Hall set to serve as the No. 3 signal-caller. The 25-year-old Ta'amu looked good in the XFL, but he'll now search for another opportunity at the NFL level with a little over a week before Week 1 kicks off.

Justin Herbert News

Justin Herbert Out For The Season

Tuesday, December 12, 12:12 PM

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (finger) will miss the final four regular season games after having surgery to fix the broken index finger on his right hand on Tuesday. Backup Easton Stick will now run LA's offense for the rest of the year, which will be a major downgrade for the rest of the Chargers' offensive skill players in fantasy leagues, mainly receiver Keenan Allen and running back Austin Ekeler. The Chargers are doing what is best for Herbert in the long term with the team sitting at 5-8 and out of the AFC playoff picture. Fantasy managers can safely drop Herbert now in single-year formats and look for a replacement if you don't already have one on roster. Through 14 weeks, Herbert finished as a top-10 fantasy QB with 3,133 passing yards on 456 attempts for 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He's likely going to be working with a new head coach in 2024.
