Fitzgerald told Jim Gray on SiriusXM on Friday that he doesn't feel compelled to play "right now," according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com. "I don't know how I'll feel in September, October, November moving forward but I just, today, I just don't have the urge."

The Buffalo Bills and former quarterback Mitch Trubisky are in talks to reunite, according to a source. Trubisky was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason, so he's free to sign with any team before free agency officially starts next week. The 29-year-old former second overall pick by the Chicago Bears in 2017 out of North Carolina made five appearances for the Steelers last year, including two starts, and looked miserable, going 67-for-107 for 632 yards, four touchdowns and five touchdowns before the Steelers quickly went to Mason Rudolph for the rest of the year when Kenny Pickett was hurt. He played in Buffalo in 2021 and attempted just eight passes in parts of six games. If he returns to the Bills, he'd just be QB insurance behind starter Josh Allen.
