Marquise Goodwin Will Play Against Texans

Thursday, January 11, 6:08 PM

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (knee) returned to a full practice on Thursday and was removed from the final injury report before Saturday's playoff contest against the Houston Texans. Goodwin was held out of the Week 18 regular season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals but will return and could have an expanded role with rookie Cedric Tillman (concussion) already ruled out. Still, fantasy managers playing DFS during wild-card weekend should avoid Goodwin, as Amari Cooper (heel), Elijah Moore and David Bell will operate in three-wide sets alongside tight end David Njoku. It would be a pretty big surprise if Goodwin did much of note for fantasy managers to get excited about this weekend.

Tim Patrick News

Tim Patrick Agrees To One-Year Deal With Broncos

Friday, March 8, 12:24 PM

Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (Achilles) agreed to a one-year deal to remain with the organization for the 2024 season. The 30-year-old has missed each of the last two seasons after suffering a torn ACL and torn Achilles in his last two training camps, but it appears he's going to try to extend his career. In 2021, he caught 53 passes for 734 yards and five touchdowns. Although the new contract is a good sign for his recovery from two major injuries, he's unlikely to be on the fantasy radar in 2024. He's beyond the wide receiver age apex, and he's likely to be extremely rusty after two full years away from football.
