Any way to get together a 12 man 18 round draft?

Team 1 has offered you pick x for picks y and z. Accept?

Is there a way to start a draft as soon as all the draft slots are taken and not have to wait until the timer runs all the way down?

I absolutely agree with Gershom Davis. When the spots are full, the draft should start. Maybe when the spots are full, do an announcement (with sound? possibly? wake people up) that says “The Draft will start in 30 SECONDS,” then reset the timer to 30 seconds. Would eliminate 4-6 minutes of waiting and doing nothing.

Brian, there probably won’t be public drafts with 18 rounds, but custom drafts are coming soon and you should be able to go 18 rounds with those.

Tim, I would love to be able to do that. Only problem is it’s a little complicated to pull off and there are other things on the to-do list ahead of that. It’s definitely a cool “nice to have” feature though.

Gersham and Connor: Yes, I know that waiting in a full draft room is a pain. Instant draft starting was actually implemented for a short period last year, but there were a lot of complaints from people who missed the start of the draft because they didn’t expect it to start. I like Connor’s idea of an announcement, so that migiht be a possibility. What has been happening in the mean time is to try to run exactly enough drafts so that most of them get full in time without much waiting. There were more drafts added yesterday and even more may be added today. I’ll keep an eye on it and make sure that people aren’t waiting for too long. Thanks for the input.
