Start 'Em Sit 'Em Week 11

We are getting close to the end of the regular fantasy season folks! How are you looking? For me, I have a couple of teams that are locked in to make the fantasy playoffs and a few that are leaning in the right direction. A few strong finishes will help my other teams get a playoff berth so locking in some good plays for Week 11 will help us all out. The bye weeks for Week 11 have the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and New York Giants sidelined so you'll have to make other arrangements if you have guys like Tyrone Tracy Jr or Kyler Murray on your rosters. There are some streaming options you might want to take a look at so let me know what you think of the options for this week's start/sit article (@hype_phinest on Twitter/X).

Starts

Quarterbacks

Jared Goff vs. JAX

Goff had a stinker against the Houston Texans as he threw five interceptions during the game and put up just 7.8 fantasy points for a QB21 finish. Now Goff gets a leaking Jacksonville Jaguars defense that's giving up both yards and fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. While they did put the beatdown on Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings, pulling off three interceptions from Darnold, the Jaguars defense is allowing 23 fantasy points per game and allowing 7.6 yards per attempt, third-most to enemy quarterbacks.

Derek Carr vs. CLE

Carr had a pretty good game against the division rival Atlanta Falcons as he finished with 20.2 fantasy points (QB6) in the game. Carr finished the contest with 269 yards and two touchdowns and seems to have found a new deep threat in recently signed wideout Marquez Valdez-Scantling. Should MVS continue to look the part and gel with Carr, the Saints quarterback could be in for another good outing against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are giving up nearly 17 FPPG to QBs and recently allowed 282 yards and two touchdowns from Justin Herbert.

Running Backs

Joe Mixon vs. DAL

Joe Mixon has truly been the life's blood of the Houston Texans offense this season. To be fair, the Texans have dealt with serious injuries to the wide receiver position and the pass blocking has been an issue with CJ Stroud being under duress. However, Mixon is averaging nearly 22 rush attempts per game and nearly 94 yards per game on the ground. The Cowboys have been getting run on all season, giving up the second-most rushing yards per game at 152. This will likely be one of the better matchups for running backs this week.

Audric Estime vs. ATL

Head coach Sean Payton did say that Audric Estime was going to see more work down the stretch and he was a man of his word (finally). Estime led the Broncos backfield against the Kansas City Chiefs with 14 carries for 53 yards and could see more work going forward. If Estime gets another crack at taking the lead (and gets a little more involved in the passing game), he should be able to produce for fantasy managers against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11. The Falcons have given up 4.5 yards per attempt rushing and nearly 130 yards per game on the ground to opposing running backs, the 10th-most among rushing defenses this season.

Wide Receivers

George Pickens vs. BAL

George Pickens continues to ascend under Russell Wilson this season and orbs been looking good to see for Pickens owners. Pickens had a crazy circus touchdown catch on seven targets against the Washington Commanders and finished with 91 yards and 20.5 fantasy points (WR5 finish). Now he gets a vulnerable Baltimore Ravens defense bleeding receiving yards (most receiving yards allowed) and allowing the most touchdowns to receivers. Pickens should be a "set it and forget" option this week against the AFC North division rival.

Marquez Valdez-Scantling vs. CLE

MVS is looking like the New Orleans Saints' newest unsung hero for both Derek Carr and the Saint's offense. MVS went off against the Atlanta Falcons with three catches for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns allowing him to finish as the WR2 on the week. Valdez-Scantling will look to continue his production against the Cleveland Browns in Week 11. The Browns are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to wise receivers at 39.1 per game, and with Chris Olave on IR with a concussion, there are slim pickings in terms of pass catchers for the Saints as it is.

Tight Ends

Will Dissly vs. CIN

Will Dissly saw a significant amount of work against the Tennessee Titans, catching five of six passes for 30 yards. While that doesn't seem like much output, it is interesting to note that Dissly led the Chargers pass catchers in targets in that game. Dissly might be worth a look against a Cincinnati Bengals defense that has let up points against the tight end position. The Bengals are fourth in fantasy points allowed at 15.1 FPPG heading into Week 11.

Sits

Caleb Williams vs. GB

Caleb Williams has had a rough rookie season to date. Finishing as the QB26 against the New England Patriots (6.8 fantasy points), Williams seems to have hit rock bottom. The Bears have even gone ahead and fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron who they just signed this offseason. The Bears take on the Packers in Week 11, allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Williams might need to ride the bench until we see what's next for the Bears offense.

Rico Dowdle vs. HOU

If you didn't move on from Rico Dowdle after Dak Prescott went down against the Atlanta Falcons, it might be too late now. Dowdle underwhelmed fantasy managers against the Philadelphia Eagles' "resurgent" defense, posting just 8.6 fantasy points in the contest. With the Cowboy's offense moving at a snail's pace (or whatever is slower than that), Dowdle can't be trusted moving forward. The Houston Texans come to town allowing 113 rushing yards per fame. The Cowboys haven't even sniffed that all season. Leave Dowdle out of your lineups unless you're truly desperate.

Brian Thomas Jr. vs. DET

What's being done to Brian Thomas Jr is a disgrace, to say the least, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a BTJ owner. Thomas has seen just seven targets over his last two games and that's with fellow Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk out for the season. The thought was that there would be more targets coming his way but maybe the chest injury Thomas Jr has been dealing with is hampering him more than what's being said. The Detroit Lions offer a great matchup on paper as they are allowing the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers but with Mac Jones under center and the lack of targets going the young Rookie's way, it might be better to have him on your bench until things turn around.

Dalton Schultz vs. DAL

Dalton Schultz has had some solid games with both Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs out of the lineup. Schultz is averaging five targets over his last two games, gaining 87 yards over that span. While that's decent at best, Nico Collins is likely to return to the lineup and garner a large target share. The Cowboys have also been solid against the tight end position, averaging just 10.6 FPPG allowed against the position. Schultz's time in the sun might be coming to a close.
