New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle) is officially active for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the New England Patriots. He had been listed as questionable after being a limited participant in practice. The veteran running back has remained a productive ball carrier and pass catcher in his age-30 season, but we've started to see the Saints opt for somewhat of a split between him and Kendre Miller lately. Kamara's eight receptions over the last two games keep him in the high-end RB3/flex range for fantasy football, but he's no longer a top-tier workhorse. That is especially true against a Patriots defense that has allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to running backs in 2025.

Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) is expected to spend more than the minimum four weeks on injured reserve, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. The injury that the rookie suffered in Week 5 appears to be serious enough that he'll be out through at least Week 10, and perhaps longer. The Chargers have a Week 12 bye, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Los Angeles hold him out until Week 13, giving him an extra week off to rest. Losing both Hampton and Najee Harris (Achilles) is a major blow for the Chargers, who will turn to Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal but could also look to make external running back additions.
