Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley caught ten passes on a season-high 15 targets for 143 yards in the 52-14 loss to Detroit on Sunday. The squeaky wheel got the grease in this one as Ridley finally broke through with a huge performance in his seventh game as a Titan. It was abundantly clear that the game plan was to hyper-target Ridley, especially with DeAndre Hopkins gone, and it paid off in a big way for those that played the speedster. He was in-sync with quarterback Mason Rudolph from the jump, putting up hauling in passes of 26 and 47 yards in the first quarter that helped him reach the century mark in that period. While the rest of the afternoon was relatively quiet, fantasy managers can only rejoice when seeing a performance like this from Ridley who has been quite a let down through the first part of the 2024 season. Up next is a Week 9 intra-conference clash with the New England Patriots in Nashville.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught six of seven targets for 85 yards and a touchdown during the team's 37-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. After a week where the former Heisman winner posted -2 receiving yards against the New York Giants, Smith made up for it with a solid performance in which he led the team in receiving yards and caught the only passing touchdown of the day for the Eagles. Smith caught a 45-yard bomb to put the Eagles ahead of the Bengals 24 to 17 and they never looked back. A.J. Brown was right behind him in targets and yardage, but this was a game where running the ball in the red zone was incredibly successful, so there was just one passing touchdown to distribute. The Eagles receivers could have a big day next week against the lowly Jacksonville pass defense.
