Chase Brown News

Chase Brown Locked In As Bengals' RB1 In Preseason Opener

Friday, August 14, 8:08 PM

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown handled five carries for 16 yards in the 16-14 victory over the Detroit Lions in the preseason opener on Friday night. Brown didn't catch a pass in this game, but it's well established that his pass-catching ability is a key part of the Bengals' offense. Backup running back Samaje Perine mixed in for one carry and two catches, but he only played about 30.8% of the snaps compared to Brown's 69.2%. The 26-year-old back is fresh off a season with over 1,000 rushing yards and six touchdowns, along with 69 receptions and five receiving scores. Brown is one of the most dynamic running backs in one of the league's most friendly offensive environments and should be considered a strong RB1 for the 2026 season. Brown will look to keep his momentum going in next week's preseason game against the Chicago Bears.

Colston Loveland News

Expectations Rising Even Higher for Colston Loveland

Sunday, August 9, 5:37 AM

On a day where a potential injury dominated most of the headlines out of Chicago Bears training camp, tight end Colston Loveland kept the momentum of what has been a strong summer, finding the end zone twice during red zone work. Wide receiver Luther Burden III (lower body) exited practice early, limping off the field after getting tangled with cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, and should he miss any time, even more could be asked of Loveland with his year two expectations already sky high. Loveland is RotoBaller's TE3, and following the departure of veteran DJ Moore, there's an assumption that targets will be funneled primarily through Loveland, Burden, and Rome Odunze. While further news is awaited, Burden's early exit from practice serves as a reminder that if one of the three should miss any time throughout the year, the others would boast week-winning potential.
