Cooper Kupp Still has Some Juice Left

Tuesday, June 24, 12:16 PM

The Athletic's Michael-Shawn Dugar writes that new Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp still has some juice, and the team thinks he still has enough left in the tank to be a legitimate complementary piece to WR1 Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Kupp looked the part during offseason workouts and still has enough wiggle, understanding of leverage and quickness to be a pest underneath and in the red zone. The 32-year-old veteran is no longer the same receiver that accomplished the receiving Triple Crown in 2021, but he can still win with deception and his high-level route-running. Kupp's fantasy floor and ceiling are much lower now, and he's missed five or more games in three straight seasons due to injuries, but he can still be in play as a WR4/flex in the Pacific Northwest if he stays on the field. RotoBaller has him ranked just inside the top-50 pass-catchers.

Rashid Shaheed Puts on Weight, Now at 190 Pounds

Friday, July 25, 3:13 PM

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed said he put on weight in the offseason in order to hold up better against contact, but ESPN's Erin Summers said he also made sure that he didn't lose any of his signature speed. Shaheed is now up to 190 pounds as he enters the 2025 season. The 26-year-old will play at 10 pounds heavier, although he could lose a lot of that weight as the season progresses. Shaheed should be fairly safe as the WR2 in the Saints offense behind Chris Olave after catching 46 passes for 719 yards and five touchdowns in 2023 as a first-time Pro Bowler. He played in just six games last year due to a knee injury, though, and whether he'll have the same breakaway speed will certainly be a question. Another big question mark will be the Saints' QB situation. RotoBaller has Shaheed ranked at No. 51 among wideouts.
