Davante Adams News

Davante Adams Looks "Fresh and Explosive"

Tuesday, August 25, 8:54 AM

The Athletic's Nate Atkins writes that there was some concern over whether Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams could still be a perimeter receiver at 33 years old, but he has looked "fresh and explosive" in training camp and was "virtually uncoverable" in joint practices against the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Atkins also said Adams' connection with quarterback Matthew Stafford has been even more impressive, as the two are "slicing up zone coverages with route adjustments in the intermediate part of the field." Last year, Adams was new to the team, and Stafford missed most of training camp while rehabbing an injury. Adams caught 60 of 114 targets for 789 yards and a league-high 14 touchdowns in 2025 in his first year in L.A., but staying healthy for a full season will be a challenge for the veteran pass-catcher after he dealt with lower-body injuries last year. Atkins writes that the Rams might need to get creative with load management for Adams, but one thing is clear: his talent "has not seen a drop-off." Fantasy managers should be targeting Adams as more of a touchdown-dependent, low-end WR2 this fall.

Tee Higgins News

Tee Higgins Remains a High Upside Receiver in a Potent Offense

Thursday, August 27, 5:48 PM

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has put together two top-20 finishes at the wide receiver position over the past two seasons and three of the last four. Last season, Higgins finished as the WR15, hauling in 98 of his 59 receptions for 846 yards (14.3 YPR) and 11 touchdowns. He was 13th in the NFL with 14.1 fantasy points per game and played in 15 games. In 2024, he finished as the WR5 in fantasy points per game with 18.5 and played in 12 games. The key for Higgins is health, as he has played only one full 17-game season and has had multiple seasons with only 12 games played. In 2025, Higgins finished 3rd in the NFL in deep targets, second in total TDs, and is a high-upside player being drafted in the late third round. On a points-per-game basis, Higgins is one of the top receivers in the game. RotoBaller ranks Higgins as the WR16, so fantasy managers looking to capitalize on a high-upside player at the receiver position should look in Higgins' direction.
