49ers Open Practice Window for Demarcus Robinson

The San Francisco 49ers have opened the practice window for wide receiver Demarcus Robinson (ankle), per Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. Robinson has been on Injured Reserve since Week 2 due to an ankle injury, but it appears he could be on the doorstep of a return. Across two games before getting hurt, the 32-year-old recorded five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown on six targets. The 49ers have had myriad injuries across their wide receiver room so far in 2026. Even coming out of their Week 8 bye, top wideouts Mike Evans (Achilles) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) remained sidelined from practice and could be in danger of missing San Francisco's Week 9 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. In deeper leagues, Robinson could be worth targeting on the waiver wire ahead of his impending return.

Chris Bell A High-Risk Start in Week 8

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Bell served as the team's third receiver in Week 7 behind Malik Washington and Caleb Douglas. The rookie caught three of his four targets for 25 yards in his team's first win of the year over the Jets, while playing 48% of snaps. The rookie helped fill in while Douglas was out with an ankle injury, but has not been a steady enough producer to be a good fantasy option in the Dolphins' inconsistent passing game. Bell did have four catches for 67 yards against the Chiefs in Week 3, but he has only had a total of two catches in his three games since then. The third-round rookie has long-term potential, but for his Week 8 matchup against the Patriots, he's RotoBaller's No. 64 wide receiver, leaving him outside starting consideration in almost all formats.
