Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson signed a two-year, $9.5 million deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday that includes $6 million fully guaranteed, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Robinson will remain in the NFC West after spending the last two seasons with the Rams. In 33 regular-season games (21 starts) for L.A., Robinson caught 57 of his 103 targets for 876 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 30-year-old had a career year in 2024, setting career-highs in receiving yards (505) and touchdowns (seven) while catching 31 of his 64 targets over 17 regular-season starts. In the Bay Area, he'll help make up for the loss of Deebo Samuel Sr., who was traded to the Commanders. Fantasy managers should definitely expect regression in the touchdown department, and he's likely to open the year as the No. 4 behind Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall, depending on Aiyuk's recovery from a torn ACL.

The veteran occupied a depth role throughout the 2024 season, routinely operating behind players like Khalil Shakir, Amari Cooper, Keon Coleman, and Mack Hollins. He's under contract with Buffalo through 2026, but he could face some additional competition next year if the Bills pursue a wide receiver addition during free agency or the NFL Draft. As it stands, Samuel can be avoided in most fantasy football leagues.
