New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (shoulder) exited the Week 3 game against the Green Bay Packers with a shoulder injury. According to Katherine Terrell, Carr has an AC joint sprain and is considered week to week. The 32-year-old signal-caller has completed over 65% of his passes for 636 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions this year and looked to be headed toward a third straight win to begin his New Orleans career. The team blew a 17-0 lead after his exit. In his absence, veteran quarterback Jameis Winston will start for New Orleans. He has upside with a supporting cast of Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, Rashid Shaheed, Juwan Johnson, and Alvin Kamara (returns in Week 4), but the Saints will likely be unwilling to let him throw a ton of passes thanks to his well-documented turnover issues. Expect the Saints to lean on its running backs and defense while Carr is sidelined.
