Desmond Ridder News

Desmond Ridder Joining Packers Practice Squad

Wednesday, December 31, 12:36 PM

Veteran free-agent quarterback Desmond Ridder is being signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad on Wednesday, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Jordan Love (concussion) and Malik Willis (shoulder) are both dealing with injuries, and the Packers are locked into the No. 7 seed going into the playoffs, so Ridder could be elevated for the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. Ridder, the former third-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons in 2022 out of Cincinnati, has bounced around the league the last couple of years. The 26-year-old has not appeared in an NFL game since 2024 with the Las Vegas Raiders. Ridder was with the Bengals during the summer and also spent two separate stints with the Vikings. If Ridder is elevated to the active roster this weekend, he'll likely serve in a backup role behind Clayton Tune if both Love and Willis are inactive.

Will Levis News

Titans Gauging Will Levis' Trade Market

Sunday, March 1, 7:54 AM

The Tennessee Titans are "seeing if there's interest and whether they can get trade value out of" quarterback Will Levis (shoulder), according to Dan Graziano of ESPN. Levis, who missed all of the 2025 season after having right-shoulder surgery, is heading into the final year of his four-year, $9.54 million contract that he signed in July of 2023. The 26-year-old has no clear path to returning to starting QB duties in Tennessee after the club drafted Cameron Ward with the first overall pick last April. Levis was drafted by the Titans' previous front office and coaching staff, so they don't have much invested in him. If his shoulder injury is a thing of the past, QB-needy NFL teams could have some interest in bringing Levis on board, at least as a QB2 option for depth. The former second-rounder in 2023 out of Kentucky displayed questionable decision-making and mostly struggled in his 21 starts in two seasons, throwing for 3,899 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions.
