Devin Singletary News

Devin Singletary Emerges as the a Deep League Option

Tuesday, September 15, 5:13 AM

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary took over as the primary backup behind Cam Skattebo after Tyrone Tracy Jr. lost a fumble on one of his two carries. Singletary got 16 rushing yards on six carries and found the end zone while catching all four of his targets for 22 receiving yards. Singletary played 36% of the team's snaps, while Tracy played just two snaps, and Najee Harris was a healthy scratch. While Harris could get some short-yardage work as the season goes on, Singletary has value as the team's primary receiving option out of the backfield and the backup behind Skattebo. If you need RB help in a deep league, especially in PPR formats, Singletary has enough upside to be an option to consider from the waiver wire before Week 2.

Kaytron Allen News

Kaytron Allen Carving Out Role Despite No. 3 Spot on Depth Chart

Tuesday, September 15, 7:33 PM

Washington Commanders running back Kaytron Allen was able to carve out a role in Week 1, despite ranking third on the depth chart behind Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White. It wasn't the prettiest or flashiest performance, but his four rushing attempts for 10 yards ranked ahead of many other teams' No. 3 running backs in terms of involvement. It was very encouraging to see the Commanders carve out playing time (10% of snaps) for the rookie in the season opener, as it indicates that his role could only grow going forward. Managers in deeper leagues should consider adding Allen off the waiver wire now, because if his role continues to grow, there will be more competition to get him on fantasy rosters. There's a very real chance that the rookie's fantasy stock will never be lower than it is right now, so managers are advised to get in on the ground floor.
