The Seattle Seahawks and tight end Eric Saubert have agreed to a one-year contract extension, per NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. Saubert was designated to return from Injured Reserve this week after missing six games due to a calf injury. The 31-year-old tight end signed with the Seahawks during the offseason and is most known for his ability to do the dirty work as a blocker and as a contributor on special teams. He has just one catch for 12 yards while playing 34.1% of the offensive snaps this season in seven games, and is now under contract with Seattle through the end of the 2026 season.

The Los Angeles Chargers signed free-agent tight end Stephen Anderson to their practice squad and released defensive back Mark Webb Jr. from the practice squad in a corresponding move. The move comes as the Chargers look to add depth at the position heading into a Week 11 contest against the Green Bay Packers with both Gerald Everett (back) and Donald Parham Jr. (hip) banged up. Neither player was able to practice on Wednesday and they could both be in danger of sitting out this weekend. If one or both of Everett and Parham are limited or out against Green Bay, the Chargers would be forced to give Stone Smartt or Nick Vannett more playing time. Anderson has yet to play in a game in 2023. He has 63 catches for 715 yards and three touchdowns in six NFL seasons and spent 2019-21 with the Chargers.
