Evan Engram Looking to Bounce Back Against Rams

It's been an up-and-down start to the season for Denver Broncos tight end Evan Engram. In Week 1, Engram found the end zone, finishing with five receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown during a 31-10 defeat at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. Then, during a 20-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Engram failed to make an impact. He recorded just one reception for 17 yards. This week, he is RotoBaller's 28th-ranked tight end, as he is projected to score six fantasy points against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams allowed New York Giants tight end Isaiah Likely to record five receptions in Week 2, but he totaled just 33 yards receiving. In Week 1, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle recorded just two receptions for 12 yards against the Rams' pass defense.

AJ Barner Off the Fantasy Radar Until Further Notice

Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner is not a fantasy option in Week 3 against the Washington Commanders. Barner is not receiving enough volume in an offense that runs through wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Three targets in two games are not enough to move the needle for fantasy, despite Barner scoring a rushing touchdown in Week 2. The good news is that Barner has been on the field for at least 80% of the snaps in both games. Additionally, Smith-Njigba is unlikely to command a 44% target share for a full season. With quarterback Sam Darnold (glute) returning from injury this week, the passing attack stands to balance out to something closer to what it was in 2025. Even so, leave Barner on waivers until he displays more involvement in this passing offense.
