Gerald Everett Not A Good Choice In Week 3

Thursday, September 21, 2:30 PM

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett isn't much of a fantasy option in a Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Everett has only put up nine fantasy points total through two games, and now he faces a Vikings defense that is fourth against opposing tight ends. Meanwhile, they struggle against wide receivers, so it's a safe bet that the Chargers will run the passing game through Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Everett has some season-long upside as the team adjusts into Kellen Moore's offensive scheme that has always featured strong tight end play, but Week 3 is unlikely to be Everett's first big game of the year. He's a middling TE2 option without much upside.

Jordan Mason Remains Limited On Thursday

Friday, September 8, 9:25 AM

San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason (foot) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. The good news is that the 24-year-old has been able to get through back-to-back limited practice sessions. Mason is dealing with a sprained foot that he suffered during the preseason finale. He's trending in the right direction, but Friday's practice will go a long way to determining his availability for the weekend. Even if healthy, Mason is unlikely to have a significant role in the backfield. He'll be competing for third-string snags with Tyrion Davis-Price.
