Jalen Nailor's Opportunity Makes Him a Late-Round Sleeper

Friday, September 4, 11:35 AM

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jalen Nailor has a much cleaner path to volume than he ever had in Minnesota. Nailor spent four years buried behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but he enters 2026 listed with the first-team offense in a wide receiver room that doesn't have an established target hog. He caught 29 of 53 targets for 444 yards and four touchdowns last season, then spent August building real chemistry with Kirk Cousins. Nailor caught a deep score from Cousins on Aug. 6, another touchdown on Aug. 10 and two more in red-zone work a week later. That doesn't guarantee a huge target share, especially with Brock Bowers likely to remain the centerpiece and Tre Tucker and Jack Bech still involved. It does give Nailor a legitimate chance to see more work than he ever did with the Vikings. Las Vegas signed him early in free agency, kept him with the starters all summer, and the opportunity held through roster cuts. For managers looking for a late-round receiver with room to beat his draft cost, Nailor has a pretty easy case to make.

Omar Cooper Jr. Rebuilds Momentum Late in Camp

Wednesday, September 2, 11:09 AM

New York Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. needed a strong finish to camp after Isaiah Williams had started to pull ahead for slot work, and the rookie gave the Jets one. Cooper caught the touchdown that finished Geno Smith's two-minute drive on Aug. 24, with Aaron Glenn saying afterward that the first-round pick was improving every day. He followed that up with four catches from Smith during the final open practice, trailing only Adonai Mitchell and Garrett Wilson among Smith's targets that afternoon. Cooper also finished the preseason with three catches for 40 yards, including a 26-yard gain against Tampa Bay. The role is not settled. New York's current depth chart still has Cooper behind Wilson, while Mitchell and Williams remain ahead of him on the other side, and RotoBaller currently ranks Cooper WR79 in half-PPR. Still, the late-camp work with Smith matters. Cooper looked a lot more involved at the end of August than he did in the middle of it, giving his redraft stock a needed push before Week 1.
