Jamaal Williams Placed On Injured Reserve

Saturday, September 23, 4:37 PM

New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams (hamstring) was placed on injured serve. The veteran running back will miss at least the next four games. Williams suffered the hamstring injury in the team's Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. With the veteran out this week, Kendre Miller, Toney Jones Jr., and Taysom Hill will handle the backfield duties against the Green Bay Packers. Thankfully, Alvin Kamara's three-game suspension ends Monday morning. Fantasy players can drop Williams in redraft leagues if needed. The former Detroit Lion has 27 rushing attempts for only 74 yards and two receptions for seven receiving yards this season. When he returns, Williams will have a limited role with Kamara and Miller healthy.

Saquon Barkley A "Stretch" To Play In Week 4

Wednesday, September 27, 9:15 AM

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 2, holding him out of the Week 3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football. The Giants do not play until Monday Night this week against the Seattle Seahawks, so Barkley has extended time to get healthy. However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said the 26-year-old playing in Week 4 would be a "challenge or a stretch." It's still early, but high-ankle sprains usually hold players out for multiple games. Be sure to check back for his latest updates.
