Washington Commanders rookie wide receiver Jaylin Lane has caught at least one ball in every game this season and has been forced to step up with injuries to Washington's top wide receivers. Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) is out again for Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks, which opens up more routes and targets for Lane, among others. The fourth-round rookie likely had his worst game as a pro in Week 8 against the Chiefs, committing a costly blunder that set the offense up with field position inside their own five-yard line, and then failing to make up for his mistake by dropping a pass on third down on the same drive. Lane has the speed and ball-in-hand ability that Washington's offense needs, but his hands have been unreliable so far. Lane will have the chance to bounce back on Sunday Night Football, along with Luke McCaffrey and Chris Moore vying for targets behind Deebo Samuel Sr.

Las Vegas Raiders rookie wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. will be active for Thursday's game against the Denver Broncos, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Thornton was a healthy scratch in Week 9, but is returning to the rotation with Jakobi Meyers being traded on Tuesday. The rookie wideout hasn't recorded a catch since Week 3, so Thornton hasn't made much of an impact lately. It's tough to imagine there being streaming appeal here for this Week 10 contest. Thornton could be worth stashing in dynasty formats or certain deep leagues, but can't be trusted right now.
Still trying to decide between Lane and Thornton Jr.? Check on the latest news to make sure both players are active and healthy. Our PPR projections show that Jaylin Lane is projected to score 3.7 points this week while Dont'e Thornton Jr. is projected to score 0.0 points.
