New England Patriots wide receiver Jeremiah Webb caught three of four targets for 31 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's preseason loss to the New York Giants. With this being the preseason finale, Webb and several other third-string players saw increased opportunities. Webb showcased a solid rapport with quarterback Ben Woodbridge, as the two connected for three completions, including a touchdown pass that Webb was able to haul in after making an impressive adjustment. However, the Patriots' roster was mostly set before Thursday's game, and it would take a massive turn of events for Webb to make the team. New England should enter the season with a wide receiver room featuring Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kyle Williams, Mack Hollins, and Efton Chism. You could also make a case for Kendrick Bourne or Javon Baker. However, Webb is another tier lower, and his best shot at sticking around would be getting signed to the practice squad.
