Atlanta Falcons tight end J.J. Arcega-Whiteside was released by the team on Tuesday as they cut their roster down to 53 players. Infamously drafted before D.K. Metcalf, Diontae Johnson, and Terry McLaurin in the 2019 NFL Draft, Arcega-Whiteside was a highly productive receiver at Stanford but never found solid footing at that position in the pros. He's since transitioned to tight end but wasn't able to make the Falcons' final 53. There's a good chance another team will take a chance on him but his days in the NFL appear to be numbered.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Ashton Dulin (knee) suffered a torn ACL during training camp practice on Wednesday, according to a league source. Dulin, who had worked with the second-team offense in the team's preseason opener last week against the Buffalo Bills, had to be carted off the field and will now miss the entire 2023 season. Dulin's injury is a blow to Indy's receiver depth, as he was competing for the No. 4 or No. 5 receiver spot this summer in camp while also being a core special-teamer. The 26-year-old caught a career-high 15 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown in 12 games (two starts) in 2022. With Dulin now out for the year, Mike Strachan and rookie Josh Downs will now be the prime candidates for the fourth receiver job for the Colts.
