John Metchie III News

John Metchie III Poised for Breakout Season with New Team in 2026?

Tuesday, May 26, 12:50 PM

Entering 2026, Carolina Panthers wide receiver John Metchie III will be playing for his fourth team in four NFL seasons. The 25-year-old started 2025 with the Philadelphia Eagles, earning just four targets across seven games with the team. A midseason trade to the New York Jets allowed him more playing time, and he hauled in 29 catches for 256 yards and two scores on 44 targets across nine games with New York. With the Panthers, Metchie III's playing time is far from guaranteed. However, outside of 2025 first-round wideout Tetairoa McMillan, no Carolina wideout has ever recorded 50 receptions in a season. Metchie III should also have existing chemistry with Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, as the two of them played their college football together at the University of Alabama. In deeper dynasty formats, Metchie III could be a worthy buy-low dart throw for fantasy managers entering 2026.

Xavier Restrepo News

Xavier Restrepo Earns Six Targets in First NFL Game, in Line for More Playing Time Going Forward?

Tuesday, November 25, 10:00 PM

After spending the first 11 weeks of the 2025 season on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad, rookie wide receiver Xavier Restrepo finally made his NFL debut in Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks. The 23-year-old earned six targets from Titans quarterback Cameron Ward and hauled in two receptions for 26 yards. Restrepo's path to game action was aided by injuries to Titans wideouts Calvin Ridley (leg) and Elic Ayomanor (hamstring). Ridley will miss the rest of the season, while Ayomanor could return as soon as Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, if Ayomanor remains sidelined, Restrepo could have another chance to prove himself against Jacksonville. While fantasy managers will need Restrepo to play more than the 19 offensive snaps he played in Week 12, in some ways, it's encouraging that he was able to log six targets despite the limited playing time. Restrepo can't be trusted as a fantasy starter yet, but he could be worth monitoring for deep-league fantasy managers if the wide receiver injuries in Tennessee persist.
