Jordan Akins Hauls In Three Passes On Thursday

Friday, November 22, 11:10 AM

Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Akins brought in three of his four targets for 38 yards in their victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday evening. Akins has now seen at least four targets in each contest with Jameis Winston under center. Despite operating as the No. 2 tight end behind David Njoku, Akins is still showing some fantasy relevance, even in a reserve role. His longest reception of the evening came for 18 yards. Fantasy managers in deeper 14+ team formats should continue monitoring Akins' usage down the stretch, as he could be a viable bench option if the Cleveland offense continues to grow. For now, fantasy managers should not rely on Akins as a starter heading into his Week 13 tilt against a tough Denver Broncos defense.

Chigoziem Okonkwo News

Chig Okonkwo Trending In The Right Direction

Sunday, December 1, 7:46 PM

Tennessee Titans tight end Chig Okonkwo had three catches for 27 yards on a season-high six targets in Week 13's ugly 42-19 loss to the Washington Commanders. Okonkwo had an impressive 70-yard touchdown catch last week in a critical spot in the Titans' road win over the Texans. This week, he didn't break any big plays like that but was more involved, matching his target total from the previous three weeks combined. The Titans were forced to throw the ball more based on game script, but Okonkwo's increased involvement is a great sign for him coming down the stretch. He has tasty matchups for tight ends against the Jaguars, Bengals, and Colts over the next three weeks. He's a TE2 but has upside in those favorable matchups due to his big-play ability.
