Kyle Pitts Targeted Nine Times

Sunday, September 24, 9:00 PM

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts surprising saw an increase in usage during Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Detroit Lions. The young tight end hauled in five of his nine targets for 41 yards in the loss. This was the first game this season that Pitts has seen more than five targets in a single game. Sadly, quarterback Desmond Ridder overthrew him multiple times during this contest. That being said, Pitts probably won't have TE1 value too often this season. He'll be a mid-range TE2 for the Week 4 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Sam LaPorta Catches Eight Passes Against Falcons

Sunday, September 24, 5:08 PM

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta caught eight of his 11 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The talented Iowa product already has 18 catches for 186 yards through his first three NFL games and looks poised for a TE1 season as a rookie. That would put him in rare company, but he's well on his way. The 22-year-old is now a must-start option at the scarce fantasy tight end position. The Lions face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football in Week 4.
