The Washington Commanders are releasing veteran tight end Logan Thomas, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. He was due $6.5 million this upcoming season, including a $500k roster bonus later this month. The converted college quarterback signed with the organization to play tight end in 2020, and he had a relatively successful run. Thomas caught 184 passes for 1,685 yards and 14 touchdowns in 52 games for the franchise, despite playing with several quarterbacks. The 32-year-old will likely draw some interest in free agency as a part-time of backup player. Meanwhile, Washington will likely look to replace him in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid led his team with 45 receiving yards as they were beaten 27-24 by the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's Divisional Round, gathering each of his five targets. Kincaid held on for a tough 15-yard grab along the right sideline on Buffalo's opening possession for his longest pickup, and quarterback Josh Allen turned to him frequently late in the game as a chain-moving presence.
