Mack Hollins A Desperation Play In Deep Leagues

Wednesday, September 20, 1:31 PM

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mack Hollins hasn't been non-existent in the Falcons' limited passing game through two weeks, but he also isn't a recommended flex play heading into a pretty juicy matchup against the Detroit Lions on the road. Through the first two games of the 2023 season, Hollins has six receptions on 10 targets for 91 scoreless yards. The Lions, who just lost safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to a torn pectoral muscle, have been a top-10 fantasy matchup for wideouts through two weeks. The 30-year-old is the No. 2 wideout for Atlanta and played 71 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 2 win over the Green Bay Packers, but the Falcons just aren't passing enough to make Hollins a worthwhile fantasy dart throw at flex. The majority of his production this past Sunday came on a trick play.

Richie James Placed On Injured Reserve

Saturday, September 23, 8:45 PM

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Richie James (knee) has been placed on the injured reserve on Saturday. He wasn't able to practice all week due to an MCL injury. James only played three offensive snaps in Week 2, but has an important role on special teams. There will now be a void to fill on special teams with James out for at least the next four games. He'll be eligible to return for the Week 7 matchup versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Fantasy managers can continue to ignore James in all fantasy formats.
