Malik Washington Set for a Big Workload

Saturday, October 3, 3:32 AM

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington will likely get plenty of work in Week 4 when the Dolphins visit the Vikings in a difficult matchup. Rookie receiver Caleb Douglas (ankle) will miss a second straight game, leaving Washington as the clear No. 1 receiver. Last week without Douglas, Washington caught five of his 10 targets from QB Malik Willis for 56 yards and added five more yards on two carries. He has a 27.1% target share, which ranks 11th in the NFL and leads the team in routes run by a wide margin. He hasn't found the end zone yet this season or reached 60 receiving yards in any contest. However, he should continue to draw plenty of attention, and his volume gives him both a high ceiling and a high floor, even in Miami's struggling offense. He's still only the WR42 in RotoBaller's Week 4 rankings, though, which makes him a fringe FLEX option in most formats.

Cam Skattebo Fined for Illegal Helmet Contact Following Week 3

Saturday, October 3, 7:42 AM

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was fined an undisclosed amount by the NFL for "illegal helmet contact on a running play" during Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. The play in question was a rushing attempt that went for a short gain. Skattebo lowered his helmet into Titans linebacker Cedric Gray to break his tackle and fight for extra yardage. Later, a viral video showed that the Giants decal on Skattebo's helmet had fallen off because it had endured so much contact. It will be interesting to see whether officials begin penalizing Skattebo for using his helmet to create contact. In the meantime, fantasy managers will continue to appreciate the second-year back for fighting for every extra yard.
