Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels' dislocated left elbow is "not as serious as initially feared," according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Daniels won't require surgery, but his exact timeline is uncertain. On one hand, the Commanders chose not to place him on injured reserve, leaving the door open for him to return within the next four weeks. On the other hand, Pelissero notes that Daniels' injury could be season-ending. The Commanders have a Week 12 bye, at which point the team plans to re-evaluate the second-year quarterback. In addition to considering his health and recovery, the Commanders may also weigh their playoff status. If their playoff hopes are slipping away by Week 12, they could exercise caution and give Daniels extra time to recover.
