Running back Mike Davis officially announced his retirement from professional football on Monday on his X account. "As I turn 31 today, I sit back and look on my NFL career and how thankful I am to be apart of a brotherhood. This game has allowed me to make a lot of friends and memories. I'm grateful for every organization in NFL. With that being said I'm retiring!" Davis wrote. The 31-year-old was initially a fourth-round pick in 2015 by the San Francisco 49ers out of South Carolina. He spent the first two seasons of his career in San Fran before playing for the Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens. Davis will wrap up his eight-year career with a total of 558 carries for 2,052 yards (3.7 yards per tote) and 14 touchdowns, adding 171 catches for 1,066 yards and four TDs in the air over 87 games (30 starts).

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary is expected to see an increased workload following the season-ending ankle injury to Cam Skattebo. Through eight games, Singletary has logged 28 carries for 84 yards and added 28 receiving yards on three catches. With Skattebo sidelined, both Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Singletary should see expanded roles in the offense. Tracy projects as the primary back, as he averaged 13.5 carries per game last season compared to Singletary's 8.9. Still, with how well the Giants' offense has operated under Jaxson Dart, both players could hold fantasy appeal. Singletary is worth a look in deeper leagues as a handcuff to Tracy, who has already battled injuries this season.
