Mike Gesicki News

Mike Gesicki Atop TE Pecking Order In Week 1

Friday, September 11, 11:14 AM

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday in Week 1. Gesicki has established himself as the top receiving option among Bengals tight ends and the role could potentially be valuable if he is able to produce with the opportunities granted to him. The Bengals have rarely relied on one tight end to produce and instead opted to rotate the position. Gesicki is the main receiving option, but Drew Sample is a much better blocker so he takes Gesicki off the field. Gesicki also has competition with Erick All Jr for reps at tight end. That said, Gesicki could find some fantasy points on Sunday in a game with the highest over/under of the week against the Buccaneers. If this week's contest turns into an offensive affair, fantasy points could be flowing in this game. Gesicki is ranked TE25 in our RotoBaller Week 1 PPR rankings, making him a difficult TE2 option to trust this week. If you're truly desperate at the TE position, he could be a worthy dart throw.

Gunnar Helm News

Gunnar Helm a Deep-League Sleeper to Target on the Waiver Wire

Thursday, September 10, 12:37 PM

Across 16 games (10 starts) as a rookie in 2025, Tennessee Titans tight end Gunnar Helm recorded 44 catches for 357 yards and two touchdowns on 55 targets. While Helm flashed higher levels of production upside throughout the year, his opportunity was limited by the presence of veteran tight end Chig Okonkwo. Entering 2026, Okonkwo is now a member of the Washington Commanders, and Helm profiles as the clear TE1 in Tennessee. The Titans have more talent at wide receiver in 2026 than they did a year ago after adding Carnell Tate in the draft and Wan'Dale Robinson in free agency. Still, Helm should benefit from his increased playing time and the expected growth of Titans quarterback Cam Ward in his second NFL season. In deeper league formats, Helm could be a sleeper tight end option to target on the waiver wire.
