Nick Chubb Can Still Be a Fringe Flex Play vs. the Seahawks

Saturday, October 18, 5:18 PM

Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb will be back on the field on Monday night against the Seahawks after his team's Week 6 bye week. Chubb went into the bye week with a strong performance, totaling 61 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Ravens on just 11 carries. He has seen his snap share start to slip a bit, though, dropping from around 50% the first three weeks of the season to just 34% in Week 5. He still had more carries than any other running back in that win, though, and he seems to be the go-to option on early downs and in run-focused situations. He'll remain in a timeshare with rookie Woody Marks and Dameon Pierce on Monday, but he still brings enough touchdown-dependent upside to be an RB3 or flex play since he is the No. 29 RB this week in RotoBaller's rankings.

Jordan Whittington News

Jordan Whittington a Potential Streamer for Week 7

Saturday, October 18, 11:53 AM

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington has occupied a depth role for most of this season, but he could leap onto the fantasy radar as a solid streamer in the WR3/flex range this week. Previously, Whittington has split No. 3 receiver duties with Tutu Atwell. However, Puka Nacua (ankle) has been ruled out, which could put Whittington in line to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Whereas Atwell is more of a deep threat whose skill set aligns with a certain group of play calls, Whittington can be an every-down receiver. He played 92 percent of the snaps last week, and while his final stat line was underwhelming (four targets, three catches, 23 yards), he should be able to post better results in Week 7 with a full week of practice as the No. 2 receiver under his belt. Davante Adams will be Stafford's primary focus in the passing game, but we wouldn't be surprised if Whittington is next in the pecking order. He's facing a Jaguars defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025. Therefore, he's a solid low-end WR3/flex in deeper leagues.
