Raheem Mostert Remains in Change-of-Pace Role Against Philly

Saturday, December 13, 1:01 AM

Las Vegas Raiders running back Raheem Mostert has spent most of this season backing up rookie Ashton Jeanty, and he should remain in that role ahead of Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 33-year-old battled a knee injury during practice this past week but has been removed from the injury report and will play on Sunday, barring a setback. He has been held to just one touch in each of his last two games, and he ranks as the overall RB75 in PPR leagues this season. On one hand, the Eagles present a favorable matchup for any running back. After all, Philadelphia has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points, fifth-most receiving yards, and second-most receiving touchdowns to opposing running backs in 2025. On the other hand, though, the Purdue product is clearly nothing more than a change-of-pace back behind Jeanty in this Vegas offense. He's averaging just 3.1 touches per game and has played fewer than one-third of the snaps in each of his last eight contests. Mostert ranks as the overall RB72 in this week's RotoBaller fantasy rankings, and he can be left on waivers in all leagues.

Josh Jacobs Questionable to Play in Week 15, Facing Tough Matchup if Active

Saturday, December 13, 12:31 PM

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (knee) is officially listed as questionable to play in his team's Week 15 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Jacobs was held out of practice on both Wednesday and Thursday due to a knee issue, but he was able to practice in a limited capacity on Friday, giving him a chance to play. The 27-year-old has been one of the NFL's most consistent running backs so far this season. Across 12 games, Jacobs has logged 206 carries for 817 yards and 12 touchdowns. If active in Week 15, Jacobs will face a difficult matchup in the Broncos' defense. Entering Sunday, Denver ranks first among NFL defenses in yards per carry allowed (3.7) and second in total rushing yards allowed (1,157). Jacobs has proven the ability to find the end zone against pretty much every unit he has matched up against so far this season. However, the Denver defense, combined with a potentially limited workload due to the knee injury, should likely lead fantasy managers to slightly downgrade expectations. If active, Jacobs profiles as a high-end fantasy RB2 in Week 15.
