Rashod Bateman Named as a Possible Trade Candidate

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman was named a potential trade candidate to watch, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Fowler cited Bateman's contract as a primary reason, noting that he is due $6.5 million in 2026 and $8.25 million in 2027. The former first-round pick hasn't lived up to expectations, totaling over 550 yards just once in his six-year career. While he has produced to start the 2026 season, the return of rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane could diminish that. There's no clear destination for Bateman, and with Baltimore firmly in the mix, it's hard to fathom him being dealt for cheap. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor this situation and his role as Lane gears up for a return.

Xavier Legette Placed on Injured Reserve

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (knee) has been placed on Injured Reserve, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Legette has been sidelined since Week 2 by a knee injury and is now set to miss at least the next four weeks. Before getting injured, the 25-year-old recorded two catches for 64 yards on six targets. Legette's role in the Panthers' offense had been diminished by the emergence of Carolina wideout Jalen Coker (quad), who has established himself as the team's clear WR2 alongside star wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Still, the knee injury is an unwelcome setback for Legette, who has struggled to get his career off the ground since being selected by Carolina in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. With Legette sidelined, Panthers wideouts Brycen Tremayne, David Moore, and John Metchie III could all see a few more chances to contribute.
