Chicago Bears tight end Robert Tonyan (back) is officially active for Week 1 versus the Green Bay Packers. He had been listed as questionable but will ultimately suit up as Cole Kmet's backup. He can be left on fantasy football waivers.

New England Patriots tight end Mike Gesicki isn't a reliable fantasy option heading into Sunday's clash with the New York Jets. While Gesicki impressed with five catches and 33 yards in Week 2, he remains the clear No. 2 option behind Hunter Henry. As a result, Gesicki's production is still volatile going forward, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him limited just to one or two targets during any given week. If Henry were to miss time with an injury, Gesicki could become a top-12 option. For the time being, though, your best bet is to look elsewhere for production at the tight end position.
