Sam Darnold Cleared for Super Bowl LX

Friday, February 6, 2:47 PM

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold (oblique) practiced in full for a second straight day on Friday and was removed from the final injury report ahead of Super Bowl LX on Sunday versus the New England Patriots. Darnold suffered a left-oblique injury in practice just days before the team's Divisional Round win over the San Francisco 49ers, but it hasn't affected him in two playoff victories on the road to the Super Bowl. The 28-year-old signal-caller has gone 37-for-53 for 470 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in wins over the 49ers and Los Angeles Rams in the postseason, and his oblique injury should not be an issue at all this weekend. He'll be facing off against a Patriots defense on Sunday that allowed the ninth-fewest passing yards during the regular season, although their schedule was extremely soft. His counterpart, Drake Maye, will be the more popular DFS play in the Super Bowl because he finished as the QB3 in fantasy during the regular season, but Darnold has looked much sharper than Maye in the playoffs.

Caleb Williams Throws Three Interceptions in Divisional Round Defeat

Monday, January 19, 10:39 AM

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams nearly led his team to another improbable comeback win over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round, completing 23 of 42 pass attempts for 257 yards and two touchdowns. However, the 24-year-old also threw three interceptions, including a back-breaking pick in overtime that set the Rams up for a game-winning field goal. Williams took Bears fans and fantasy managers on a rollercoaster ride across his first two postseason games, completing 52.2% of his pass attempts for 618 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also provided production with his legs, rushing for 60 yards on eight attempts. Williams' turnover struggles in the playoffs were a bit of a surprise, as he threw just seven interceptions across 17 regular-season games. Overall, the young quarterback still has plenty to work on, but he showed signs of significant growth from year one to year two and should be a sought-after fantasy quarterback in 2026.
