Samaje Perine Hard To Trust In Week 3

Thursday, September 21, 11:31 PM

Denver Broncos running back Samaje Perine played half of the offensive snaps in the Week 2 loss to the Washington Commanders, but he had only four touches for seven yards to show for it. Fantasy managers envisioned Perine having a much bigger role in Denver's backfield with the team easing Javonte Williams in after his ACL and LCL tears last year. The 28-year-old isn't going to just go away, but it's fair to wonder if he's a worthwhile RB3/flex play moving forward, even in a great matchup in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins, who have been a top-five matchup for opposing RBs through two weeks. Perine should have a better game this Sunday on the road, but you also might have better upside flex options.

Joshua Kelley Disappoints In Week 2

Sunday, September 17, 4:52 PM

Los Angeles Chargers running back Joshua Kelley, starting in place of an injured Austin Ekeler (ankle) was disappointing in a Week 2 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans. Kelley just couldn't get anything going, running the ball 13 times for 39 scoreless yards and not contributing anything in the passing game. A week after the Chargers were able to dominate the ground game against the Miami Dolphins, they were unable to move the ball on the ground at all against the Titans. Kelley was one of the most popular waiver wire adds this week as soon as Ekeler started trending downward, but Kelley wasn't much help for fantasy managers and if anything showed the enormous talent gap between Ekeler and the other backs on the Chargers roster.
