Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (knee) will miss the rest of the 2026 season after an MRI confirmed a torn patellar tendon, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The 31-year-old was carted off during the first quarter of Monday's 23-17 loss to San Francisco after his left knee buckled while he was running a route. McLaurin finishes his season with 15 receptions for 230 yards and one touchdown across five games. Stefon Diggs, who has already caught 24 passes and scored four touchdowns this season, should remain Jayden Daniels' most dependable wide receiver. Treylon Burks is another player to watch after catching four of six targets for 66 yards against the 49ers. Listed directly behind McLaurin on Washington's depth chart, Burks has a clear shot at a bigger outside role. Tight end Chig Okonkwo also impressed Monday, catching all seven targets for 69 yards. The Commanders have a Week 7 bye before hosting Philadelphia on November 1.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs just hasn't been a huge part of his team's game plan this season. Even after injuries to WRs Alec Pierce (heel) and Keenan Allen, Downs failed to have any big games this season, and has seen just 10 targets in his last two games combined. He wasn't able to eclipse double-digit PPR fantasy points in either. Despite separating well on film and being a reliable short-to-intermediate option in the passing game, Downs has been quiet for fantasy football this year. Frustratingly, he often takes a back seat to WRs like Laquon Treadwell, which can be infuriating for fantasy managers. The underlying efficiency metrics are encouraging, but they don't mean much when Indy just doesn't look the way of its slot receiver enough. Downs is a risky start due to his low volume this year, and there are better options if you're looking for a good WR3/flex for Week 6.
