Travis Kelce Says he Can Still "Play at a High Level"

Wednesday, August 12, 2:47 PM

In what could be his final NFL season in 2026, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce thinks he can still "play at a high level," according to Nate Taylor of ESPN. "I've still got a lot of love for this game," Kelce said Wednesday. "I want to go out there and prove to myself that I can play at a better level than I did last year. That's probably the biggest thing for me, is making sure I'm accountable to the guys in this [locker] room and every single play that I'm out there." The 36-year-old future Hall of Famer signed a one-year, $12 million deal to return to KC back in March after leading the team in targets (108), receptions (76), yards (851), touchdowns (five), and receiving first downs (45) in 2025. Despite his age, Kelce still managed to finish as a top-five fantasy football TE in half-PPR scoring last year. Kelce will still have fantasy value in 2026 in what could be his last season in the league, but he's no longer a top-flight TE1 and is ranked as the No. 12 TE at RotoBaller.

Mike Gesicki News

Mike Gesicki Hasn't Done Enough to Become a Redraft Sleeper

Wednesday, August 19, 9:37 AM

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki had a couple of good moments Tuesday, including a 17-yard catch from Joe Burrow and another third-down grab after Burrow broke the pocket. Nice day, but there still hasn't been much this summer to push Gesicki up redraft boards. He finished 2025 with 28 catches for 307 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games after a pectoral injury cost him four games. Burrow missing nine games didn't help either. The better reference point is 2024, when Gesicki caught 65 passes for 665 yards, but getting back to that volume is the hard part. Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are going to eat first, Chase Brown will get his work, and Erick All Jr. is back in a deep tight end room. RotoBaller has Gesicki 218th overall in half-PPR. That's late enough to take a shot in deeper drafts, but one good camp practice doesn't suddenly make him a sleeper. He's still outside the group of tight ends fantasy managers should feel any need to chase.
