Washington Commanders wide receiver Treylon Burks (foot) was not spotted at Friday's practice, according to Tashan Reed of The Washington Post, raising concerns about his availability for Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Burks was officially listed as a nonparticipant Wednesday and Thursday after playing through the injury in Week 8, when he led Washington with 81 receiving yards on three catches, including a 53-yard gain against the Philadelphia Eagles. He played 40 of the Commanders' 60 offensive snaps in that game, establishing himself as an important outside receiver following Terry McLaurin's season-ending knee injury. Dyami Brown (calf), who was limited Thursday, was also absent from Friday's practice. Reed suggested Van Jefferson could start outside if both receivers are unavailable. Jefferson played just seven offensive snaps against Philadelphia, so a starting assignment would represent a substantial increase in playing time, although his receiving opportunities remain uncertain.
