Zach Ertz A Week 4 Bench Stash

Saturday, September 30, 2:00 AM

Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz should be considered a bench stash this week against the San Francisco 49ers. As the season has gone along, Ertz's fantasy production has sharply declined. Prior to Week 3, Ertz was heavily involved in the Arizona passing game but was an afterthought in the team's upset win over Dallas. In addition, the 49ers have so far allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Since it remains to be seen how heavily the Cardinals will utilize him, Ertz is currently a risky option. Unless fantasy managers have no other choice, he's best left on the bench for Week 4.

Logan Thomas Cleared To Play Against Eagles

Friday, September 29, 2:42 PM

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (concussion) has been cleared to play in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday after he cleared the league's concussion protocol this week. Thomas suffered a concussion in Week 2 and sat out the Week 3 blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills, but he will return as the team's top pass-catching tight end this weekend. The 32-year-old has six catches on 11 targets for 65 yards and one touchdown through two games in 2023. The oft-injured tight end could be a sneaky tight end sleeper play in deeper fantasy leagues against Philly in a game in which the Commanders are probably going to have to air it out.
