Running Backs Dalvin Cook ($9,100) at Cincinnati Bengals If we are paying up at the position we want volume from our running backs based on the expected matchup. With Cook, you’re getting that both in the running game and as a pass-catcher. He’s going to be given a minimum of 23-25 touches with the ceiling for a lot more against a terrible Bengals defense. Last year, the Bengals gave up the 10th-most fantasy points per game (19.6) to the position and haven’t improved its defense enough to make a difference. Cook should score a ton of fantasy points out of the gate in a game where the Vikings opened as 3-point favorites. Since this game is projected to be close, I would expect him to not be given much rest and he could easily top 30 touches with a TD (or two). If you’re paying up at RB in Week 1, consider Cook over CMC as your RB1.
