Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (back) was activated from Injured Reserve on Saturday and is officially active for the wild-card game at Orchard Park in Buffalo against the Bills on Sunday. As a result, rookie Audric Estime will be a healthy scratch. It's a pretty big surprise for Denver's backfield as they get set to play their first postseason game since winning Super Bowl 50 back in early 2016. The 24-year-old Badie has been on IR since early October but will return to provide RB depth behind Jaleel McLaughlin and Javonte Williams. Given Badie's extended absence, it would be a surprise to see him on the field all that much, which will give both McLaughlin and Williams more fantasy upside on Sunday against a Buffalo defense that has been vulnerable on the ground this year. In three games before going on IR, Badie had only 11 carries for 86 yards while adding three catches for minus-two yards.

Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (back) has been activated from the injured reserve on Saturday. Badie has been out since he suffered a back injury in October. The good news is that Badie was able to practice in full this week. He's currently listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's Wild-Card matchup against the Buffalo Bills. If active, Badie would unlikely have much of a role in the crowded Broncos backfield. Jaleel McLaughlin has been getting most of the carries with Javonte Williams and Audric Estime getting mixed in as well. Badie might be able to help out on special teams, but he isn't someone worth looking at in DFS contests.

Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (back) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's Week 18 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. In order for Badie to play, the Broncos would have been required to activate him from injured reserve on Saturday afternoon. That transaction did not happen as the Broncos reaffirmed their plan to move forward with a backfield featuring Jaleel McLaughlin, Javonte Williams, and Audric Estime on Sunday. All three running backs should carve out significant roles, but McLaughlin has the most fantasy appeal as an RB3/FLEX option.

The Denver Broncos have opened the 21-day practice window for running back Tyler Badie (back) to return from Injured Reserve after he collapsed on the sideline after suffering a back injury in the Week 4 win over the New York Jets. It means that Badie will be back at practice with the team this week, but it won't guarantee that he'll be active this Saturday in a big game on the road in Cincinnati against the Bengals. The 24-year-old had to be carted off the field back in Week 4 but has now recovered from his back injury and is ready to get back onto the practice field. When healthy, he'll be buried on the Broncos' RB depth chart behind Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin (quadriceps) and rookie Audric Estime, putting him well off the fantasy radar. In three games this year, Badie had only 11 carries for 86 yards while catching three passes for minus-two yards.

Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (back) has been placed on the injured reserve prior to the Week 5 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Badie went down with a back injury during last week's game. It appears the injury is somewhat significant considering the team has placed him on the IR, so Badie will miss at least the next four games. The young back hasn't done a ton this season outside of his 70-yard performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin figure to split up the workload in the backfield going forward.

Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (back) missed practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday, and head coach Sean Payton said on Wednesday that could "possibly" be a candidate to go on Injured Reserve, which would cost him at least four games. Badie injured his back in the Week 4 win over the New York Jets and was carted off the field. The 24-year-old will almost certainly miss the Week 5 game against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, with the Broncos likely officially ruling him out on Friday. Badie had nine carries for 70 yards in the Week 3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and might have been in line for a bigger workload before his back injury. For now with Badie likely out for multiple weeks, Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin should have safer roles as the 1A and 1B in Denver's low-scoring offense. Badie should stay on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos promising running back Tyler Badie (back), who left the Week 4 win over the New York Jets on a backboard on Sunday, has full movement of his arms and legs and is back in Denver with the team, according to sources. Badie suffered a back injury that could land him on Injured Reserve, but there's a chance he can return this season. The 24-year-old would be forced to miss at least four games he he's placed on IR. A sixth-rounder in 2022 by the Baltimore Ravens out of Missouri, Badie had 11 carries for 86 yards in three games this year and was potentially going to have a shot at a bigger role with both Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin struggling early on out of the backfield. Before being stretchered off on Sunday, he lost a fumble on his only carry and recorded two catches for minus-four yards receiving against the Jets.

Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (undisclosed) was carted off the sidelines to the locker room during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Badie went to the sidelines after losing a fumble and seemingly went down on the sidelines with some sort of issue. He was then put on a backboard and carted off to the team's locker room with the problem still unknown. The sixth-round rookie had one carry for zero yards and two receptions for -4 yards before leaving the game. He delivered a quality game the week before against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which moved him into the third-string conversation. He's listed as questionable to return right now, so his status will be monitored as the game goes on.

The Denver Broncos have signed running back Tyler Badie to their 53-man roster, according to Mike Klis of 9News. Badie, a third-year player out of the University of Missouri, had earned back-to-back elevations from the practice squad for Weeks 2 and 3. Now, after rushing nine times for 70 yards in last Sunday's contest, the 24-year-old has officially graduated from the practice squad to the active roster. He still figures to operate behind Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin, but given that both of those backs have struggled with efficiency and production this year, there could be some extra opportunities for Badie to prove himself within the next few weeks. He lacks fantasy appeal at the moment but remains a player to monitor.

Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie surprisingly led the team's backfield with 70 rushing yards in Sunday's 26-7 victory at Raymond James Stadium in Week 3. Badie was tied with rookie quarterback Bo Nix on the day with nine carries and had a healthy 7.78 yards per carry, thanks to a 43-yard pickup. The 24-year-old saw most of his work in the second half of this contest after coming into the Week 3 game with just two touches for 18 yards through the first two weeks. We're not quite ready to say that fantasy managers needing help at the RB position should try to pick Badie up off the waiver wire next week, but if both Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin continue to be inefficient behind Nix, the Broncos coaching staff could give Badie even more chances moving forward. The former sixth-rounder is currently rostered in 0% of Yahoo leagues.

Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie found the end zone in the team's 41-0 drubbing of the visiting Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night in the preseason finale. Badie's eight carries were second to only rookie Jaleel McLaughlin's 10 on the evening, but while McLaughlin averaged 4.8 yards per carry, Badie only averaged 1.9 yards per tote for 15 rushing yards and a touchdown. The 23-year-old also caught both of his targets through the air for just seven yards. The former sixth-rounder was scooped up off the Ravens' practice squad late last year and had just one catch and one rushing attempt for Denver. Badie isn't a lock to make the Broncos' final 53-man roster, especially since he was outplayed in the preseason by McLaughlin.
