Titans Asking For Significant Haul To Trade Down From No.1 Pick

According to Yahoo senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson, the Titans asking price for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is at least three first-round picks "or at least something of that value." Miami quarterback Cam Ward is the overwhelming favorite to be the top selection in April's draft, and the Titans have not signed any notable veteran quarterbacks. The current quarterback room in Tennessee features Will Levis, Brandon Allen, and Tim Boyle. All signs are pointing toward Ward ending up in Nashville, but general manager Mike Borgonzi is not completely closing the door on a potential trade out of the No. 1 selection. That said, it sounds like it would take a massive haul of picks or players for a QB-needy team like the Cleveland Browns or New York Giants to make the move up for Ward.

Titans Say "Everything Is Still On The Table" With No. 1 Pick

There has been momentum building for the Tennessee Titans to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft next April. Ward is the overwhelming favorite to be the top selection, but Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi said the team has not come to a final decision. "I would say everything is still on the table," Borgonzi said. "Now we're going through the process here with the college quarterbacks. But I'd say everything is still on the table right now." Tennessee added left tackle Dan Moore and right guard Kevin Zeitler this offseason to sure up its offensive line but has not added a significant quarterback. Will Levis and Brandon Allen are the only two quarterbacks under contract, which further suggests Ward will be their top pick next month. Ultimately, the Titans could seriously be considering trading out of the No. 1 pick, but the more likely case is that Borgonzi is simply willing to hear offers for the No. 1 overall selection. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, it would take a significant haul for Tennessee to move down.

Cowboys To Add Starting Running Back In 2025 NFL Draft?

The Dallas Cowboys ranked 27th in rushing yards per game last season (100.3) despite an unexpected breakout campaign from Rico Dowdle, who rushed for over 1,000 yards. The team lost Dowdle to the Carolina Panthers this offseason and brought Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders in on one-year deals. However, Dallas is still likely interested in finding a true No. 1 running back, and the 2025 draft class is loaded with talent at the position. While many have linked Dallas to Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, he could be off the board by pick No. 12. That said, North Carolina's Omarion Hampton, Ohio State's TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State's Quinshon Judkins, or Iowa's Kaleb Johnson could make sense in Round 1 or 2 in next month's draft. If the team picks a running back before Round 4, Williams and Sanders will be big fantasy football fallers, and that rookie will have immediate RB2 value with potential RB1 upside.

Chidobe Awuzie Agrees To One-Year Deal With Ravens

Free-agent cornerback Chidobe Awuzie is signing a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, according to NFL.com. The 29-year-old signed with the Tennessee Titans last offseason but lasted just one year with the team before being released. Awuzie spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys followed by three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. Overall, the former second-round pick has compiled 395 tackles (290 solo), five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, seven interceptions, and 66 pass deflections in 94 career games. Awuzie was limited to just eight games last year due to a groin injury. He is set to provide depth and a veteran presence in the Baltimore secondary that allowed 238.3 passing yards per game (27th) a season ago.

Broncos Could Target Pass-Catching RB In The Draft

The Athletic's Nick Kosmider suggests that the Denver Broncos could target a running back in the upcoming draft that specializes in catching the ball out of the backfield after they targeted their RBs with passes on 51 of 203 early down passes early in games in 2024, which led the league. However, Denver ranked 25th in expected points added per play when targeting their RBs with short passes early in games. Javonte Williams, who had a career-high 70 targets last year, is now in Dallas, and Jaleel McLaughlin's target share and efficiency dropped in his sophomore season. The Broncos need a RB more capable of carrying a heavy workload -- Williams led the team in 2024 with 8.2 carries per game, the lowest in the NFL -- but they might not be searching for a RB in this year's draft who will routinely carry the offense on the ground.

Patriots Say They Will Take The "Best Player Available" In The Draft

New England Patriots general manager Eliot Wolf said last month that the team would take the "best player available" in the upcoming NFL draft with the fourth overall pick and doubled down on the statement again on Sunday during the team's annual draft party for season-ticket holders. The Patriots could still need a starting left tackle to protect second-year quarterback Drake Maye when the draft kicks off in April, which would make it a tough decision to pass on the likes of Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter or Colorado two-way player Travis Hunter. If New England doesn't take the best player available at No. 4 overall and goes with need, the pick could very well be LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell. According to sources, the Patriots like Campbell despite his short arms, and they think that Hunter is the best player in the draft at both cornerback and receiver.

Shavon Revel Visits With Texans On Friday

East Carolina University cornerback Shavon Revel (knee), who is a potential first-round target in this year's NFL draft, visited with the Houston Texans on Friday, a league source told KPRC's Aaron Wilson. Revel has also visited with the New Orleans Saints and is expected to meet with other team's during the draft process. The 22-year-old suffered a torn ACL in his knee last September, but he's expected to gain full medical clearance before training camp this summer. If he lands in Houston, he'd mostly likely serve as secondary depth for a team already loaded with cornerback talent. The 6-foot-2, 194-pounder had one interception, 54 tackles and 13 pass breakups two years ago with East Carolina. Revel brings length and speed but will likely slip to Day 2 just because of the fact that he's coming off a torn ACL.

Seahawks Rework Uchenna Nwosu's Contract

The Seattle Seahawks and outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu agreed to a reworked contract on Thursday that will lower his 2025 salary cap number while also keeping one of the team's best edge defenders around for another season. Nwosu had two years and $26.5 million left on his previous deal and was scheduled to make $14.99 million this year while counting $21.17 million against the cap despite two injury-plagued campaigns. His new deal is for two years and $19.51 million, and he's scheduled to make $8 million in 2025 while counting $11.85 million against the cap, which is around $9.4 million less than his previous cap charge. Nwosu can earn up to $5 million of his $6.99 million pay cut back via incentives tied to sacks, playing time and the playoffs. The 28-year-old had a career-high 9.5 sacks in 2022 but has just three sacks and five tackles for loss in 12 games since.

49ers Likely To Add Running Back In NFL Draft

The San Francisco 49ers are likely to pick a running back in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to team Athletic reporter Matt Barrows. "Given the injury histories of Christian McCaffrey and Isaac Guerendo -- as well as the running back riches in this year's draft," Barrows wrote," Look for the 49ers to draft a runner at some point." Barrows listed Tennessee's Dylan Sampson, Virginia Tech's Bhayshul Tuten, and Texas' Jaydon Blue as potential fits for Kyle Shanahan's offense. All three backs are known for their speed, something 49ers brass have valued heavily at the position as of late. While McCaffrey and Guerendo will likely open the 2025 NFL season as the RB1 and RB2 for San Francisco after the team traded Jordan Mason to Minnesota, it's a smart idea for the organization to have depth behind them after McCaffrey was limited to four games in 2024 and Guerendo had an injury-riddled collegiate career at Wisconsin before transferring to Louisville.

Dillon Radunz Visiting With Seahawks

Former Tennessee Titans offensive guard Dillon Radunz is set to visit with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The 2021 second-round pick out of North Dakota State has appeared in 54 games (31 starts) and has played both tackle and guard. The 26-year-old allowed six sacks last season, good for one of the worst totals among all starting guards. Seattle is looking to rebuild its offensive line and add depth to the room that struggled last year, so Radunz could make sense as a cheap depth option for 2025.

Jeff Okudah Signing With Vikings

Free-agent cornerback Jeff Okudah is signing with the Minnesota Vikings, according to NFL.com. The 26-year-old was originally the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions out of Ohio State but has not lived up to the draft capital. Okudah spent three seasons in Detroit before one year with the Atlanta Falcons and one year with the Houston Texans. Overall, he has accumulated 177 tackles (145 solo), 14 passes defended, and two interceptions in 44 career games. Okudah figures to compete for a roster spot and be a depth piece in Minnesota's secondary led by defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

All in all, Johnson will earn $48 million over the next two seasons with $40 million guaranteed. The five-time All-Pro tackle is entering his thirteenth season in the league -- all with the Eagles -- and will continue to be a force on the team's offensive front. The 34-year-old missed just one game during 2024 with a concussion but otherwise participated in 80.99% of the team's snaps. He'll remain entrenched on the right edge, protecting the front side of franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Ford spent the last two seasons in Cleveland, totaling 41 tackles (33 solo), one fumble recovery, one interception, and two pass deflections in 33 games. The Southeast Missouri State product went undrafted in 2018 before landing with the Detroit Lions and had a one-year stint with Atlanta in 2022. He has started in 10 of his 94 NFL contests and will likely be a depth piece of Atlanta's secondary in 2025, assuming he makes the active roster.

Tre Brown Staying In NFC West, Signing With 49ers

Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tre Brown is signing with the San Francisco 49ers, according to ESPN reporter Nick Wagoner. Brown has collected 74 total tackles, two interceptions (one pick six), and eight pass deflections in 39 career games since being selected in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. Wagoner believes Brown will be a key contributor on special teams and could push for the No. 3 cornerback role in San Francisco. The 49ers are shedding several key veterans this offseason, so Brown will be tasked will helping fill the holes heading into the 2025 NFL campaign.

Bills Restructure Ed Oliver's Contract, Save $10 In Cap Space

The Buffalo Bills restructured the contract of defensive lineman Ed Oliver, creating $10 million in cap space by adding void years to the end of his deal. The former No. 9 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft signed a four-year, $68 million contract in 2023 following his rookie contract, and the Bills executed a simple restructure to provide immediate cap flexibility. In 92 career games, Oliver has compiled 231 tackles (144 solo), 27 sacks, seven forced fumbles, one interception, 14 pass deflections, and 45.5 run stuffs. While he has not lived up to his top-10 draft status, he's been a strong presence along Buffalo's defensive front since entering the NFL.

Cowboys, Dolphins, Ravens To Each Have Four Compensatory Picks

The NFL announced the 35 compensatory picks on Tuesday for the 2025 NFL draft this April, with the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens having the most with four each. In total, 35 selections were awarded to 15 teams. The Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks each have three compensatory picks. Under the league rules for compensatory picks, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. They are positioned within the third through seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost. Compensatory free agents are determined by a formula based on salary, playing time and postseason honors.

Saints Rework Tyrann Mathieu's Deal

The New Orleans Saints have reworked the contract of veteran safety Tyrann Mathieu, keeping him with the team for the 2025 NFL season. Mathieu's salary will be lowered in 2025 against the cap. The Honey Badger began his career as a third-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals out of LSU and had stints with the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs before spending the last three seasons with New Orleans.
