Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson made just one catch in a Thanksgiving Week 12 win over the Washington Commanders. He was targeted three times but was only able to come down with the one catch for 35 yards. It was a great game for the Cowboys offense, but there were no huge individual receiving performances, as quarterback Dak Prescott spread the ball around to 10 different receivers. Ferguson is likely to do a bit more next week when the Cowboys face the Seahawks for another Thursday game.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson had three straight TE1 finishes before taking a step back in Week 11. He'll look to get back to the top-12 ranks in a Week 12 game against the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving. Ferguson ended up with just five fantasy points in a TE21 game in Week 11, but the Cowboys did not really need to throw the ball much in that one, as the defense and running game took care of things pretty well. This matchup could end up with another dominant Cowboys defensive performance, but on the other side of the ball, the Commanders defense struggles through the air and should give all of the Cowboys pass catchers plenty of chances to make plays. Ferguson is a low-end TE1 with touchdown upside.
Nov 22, 2023 3:28 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson caught three passes for 32 yards but failed to find the end zone for the first time since Week 6. It was a disappointing output as fantasy managers have come to rely on a touchdown from the young tight end. However, Dak Prescott did not light up the box score as he had been doing in recent weeks. Just 204 total passing yards were up for grabs for receivers. Dallas took the opportunity to try and get their running game on track. Ferguson will be right back in the TE1 conversation when the Cowboys host the Commanders on Thanksgiving.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is a solid starting option in most leagues in a Week 11 game against the Carolina Panthers. Ferguson has scored double digit fantasy points and been a fantasy TE1 for three weeks in a row, finishing as the overall TE10 once and the TE5 twice. With the Cowboys passing game absolutely on fire right now and a decent matchup against the Panthers defense, Ferguson is a solid TE1 option with touchdown upside.
Nov 16, 2023 2:09 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson scored a touchdown in a Week 10 win over the New York Giants. Ferguson was targeted seven times, making four catches for 26 yards and the score. His touchdown came from one yard out in the second quarter, extending a Cowboys lead they would never come close to giving up. Ferguson continues to be a high floor/middle ceiling tight end and should put up a similar performance in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers.
Nov 13, 2023 1:04 AM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson will look for his third straight TE1 game in a Week 10 game against the New York Giants. Ferguson was the overall TE10 in Week 8 and the TE5 in Week 9. He should be able to put together another strong week against the Giants, despite their defense being seventh against opposing tight ends. The Dallas offense is clicking right now, and Ferguson has become a focal point in the short passing game and in the red zone. He has a solid floor and a higher ceiling than originally expected.
Nov 9, 2023 1:14 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson posted season and career highs in receiving yards and targets while tying a high in receptions. The rookie registered seven receptions on 10 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown. He was the second-leading pass-catcher after CeeDee Lamb and put together some nice plays with some quality yards after the catch. Ferguson has become a reliable option for Prescott who has used the tight end in the passing game more often than not throughout his career. Ferguson will look to build on the momentum against the New York Giants in Week 10.
Nov 5, 2023 9:37 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has a good matchup in a Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ferguson had a pair of down weeks before the Cowboys bye, but came back with a 13-point fantasy performance in Week 8, finishing as the overall TE10. The Eagles defense hasn't been great against opposing tight ends but are excellent against the run, so Ferguson could find himself targeted a lot on short routes this week. He's a low-end TE1 with a solid floor.
Nov 2, 2023 11:46 AM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson scored a touchdown in a Week 8 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Ferguson was targeted four times, catching all four for 47 yards and a touchdown. Ferguson's score was the first of the game, coming on an 18-yard pass from quarterback Dak Prescott. The Cowboys targeted wide receiver CeeDee Lamb 14 times, but Ferguson was able to provide solid support underneath and added his own six points.
Oct 29, 2023 4:22 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has an outstanding matchup in a Week 8 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Ferguson has turned into an every-down player on this offense, but he had a pair of down weeks heading into the Cowboys bye. The Rams defense has been excellent against wide receivers but has struggled mightily against opposing tight ends. Ferguson comes in with a solid enough floor and a very high ceiling in this one, he's a mid-range TE1 option.
Oct 26, 2023 1:53 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson was only targeted once in a Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Ferguson was able to make a catch on his lone target, gaining 15 yards. He seemed open several times, but just wasn't near the top of quarterback Dak Prescott's progressions. Instead, wide receiver Michael Gallup saw 10 targets and caught only three passes. With the Cowboys going into their bye, they'll definitely need to work on a few offensive things before coming back for Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Oct 17, 2023 12:58 AM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has a tough matchup in a Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. While the Chargers defense has been exceptionally generous to opposing running backs (25th) and wide receivers (32nd), the only thing they've done well is limit tight ends (3rd). The Cowboys will likely focus their passing game on short passes to their running backs and deeper routes with their wide receivers, not leaving much for Ferguson to work with. He's done enough to keep a loose TE1 ranking even with the tough matchup, but his floor and ceiling are both lower than they've been recently.
Oct 12, 2023 1:32 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson caught all three of his targets in an ugly Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Ferguson made one big 20-yard catch and then two shorter gains, once again showing a solid rapport with Dak Prescott even though the entire Cowboys offense struggled to do anything right. Ferguson's fantasy arrow was pointing up, but this was just an off game for almost everyone in a Dallas uniform. Next week's matchup against a generous Chargers offense is as good a bet as any to get Dallas back on track.
Oct 9, 2023 12:29 AM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is a solid play at his position in a Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers. Ferguson hasn't done much in terms of catch-and-run, but he's done plenty of catch and that's helped fantasy managers in PPR and TE-bonus leagues plenty. He's been a top-13 fantasy tight end in three of four games so far this season, and he leads all NFL tight ends with 11 red zone targets. The 49ers defense is excellent against opposing tight ends, but Ferguson should still see enough targets to at least put up a decent floor. He's a low-end TE1.
Oct 5, 2023 1:58 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson led the Cowboys in all receiving categories in a Week 4 win over the New England Patriots. Ferguson caught seven passes on seven targets for 77 yards. He led the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards. Ferguson has yet to put up any particularly big games, but has built a solid floor and should be a weekly low-end TE1 going forward.
Oct 1, 2023 8:18 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson was heavily involved in the passing game in a Week 3 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Ferguson tied for the team lead with seven targets, making five catches for 48 yards. While he may have been somewhat overhyped in the preseason, Ferguson has seemingly developed a solid fantasy floor and has some touchdown upside each week. He's more of a solid TE2 than a consistent TE1, but he'll certainly have some top-12 weeks on what should be a strong offensive team.
Sep 24, 2023 9:26 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has an excellent matchup in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. Ferguson scored a touchdown in Week 2 and finished as the overall TE11, but he only has a 15.9% target share, likely leaving him as a touchdown dependent streaming option at best. Still, the Cardinals defense allowed the most yards to tight ends last season and they've allowed the third most yards to tight ends this year. The matchup doesn't get much better than this for a tight end, but Ferguson is still just a high-end TE2.
Sep 21, 2023 2:02 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson scored a touchdown in a Week 2 win over the New York Jets. Ferguson was targeted four times, making three catches for 11 total yards, including a four-yard gain on his touchdown. Ferguson likely won't see enough targets each week to be much more than a touchdown-dependent option at the tight end position. The Cowboys will face the Cardinals in Arizona in Week 3.
Sep 17, 2023 8:19 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson isn't a great fantasy option in a Week 2 game against the New York Jets. Ferguson had plenty of preseason hype, but came up with just two catches for 11 yards in Week 1. He was very inefficient and only ran routes on 56% of the Cowboys dropbacks. He'll face a tough Jets defense and while any Cowboys tight end will always have touchdown upside, he comes with a zero floor this week and should be seen as a lower-end TE2.
Sep 14, 2023 5:21 PM EST
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson led the team in passing game targets in an easy 40-0 Week 1 win over the New York Giants. Ferguson saw seven targets, but was only able to come down with two catches for 11 yards. Still, the heavy target share was encouraging, as Dak Prescott only threw 24 passes in total. While this wasn't a productive game for the second year tight end, the encouraging involvement may predict some bigger weeks ahead.
