Elic Ayomanor Seeing Stock Rise Ahead of Week 3

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor carries a sleeper FLEX appeal heading into a Week 3 title against the Indianapolis Colts. The fourth-round rookie was competing for a role throughout training camp and the preseason, and has already emerged as a full-time player in the offense. In Week 1, Ayomanor saw an impressive seven targets, but was only able to catch two for a mere 13 yards, facing a tough Denver secondary. Then in Week 2, Ayomanor was able to find the back of the end zone for the first time in his career and bring in four of his six targets for 56 yards against a potent Los Angeles Rams defense. Given his emergence and increasing target share, managers in deeper 12+ team leagues should view Ayomanor as a viable FLEX option facing a Colts defense that has allowed the 16th-most PPR points to the position this season. If he were to once again see a high target share, he could enter high-end WR3 status for Week 4.

Elic Ayomanor Scores First Career Touchdown

Late in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Rams, Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward connected with receiver Elic Ayomanor for what would be the first touchdown of each of their careers. The pass came on a brilliant scrambling play by Ward that saw him throw the ball nearly 50 yards across the field as Ayomanor broke open in the endzone. On a day when Ward threw for less than 150 yards, his developing chemistry with Ayomanor was apparent, as his fellow rookie tied for the team lead in targets and receptions, and had only one fewer yard than Calvin Ridley. The Titans have opened the year against two of the stingier defenses in the league in the Broncos and Rams. Still, their offense has shown glimpses, and with the WR2 role seemingly locked up, Ayomanor is a priority add in all league formats.

Elic Ayomanor In Line for WR2 Workload in Week 2?

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor finished second on his team in targets (seven) in Tennessee's 20-12 Week 1 loss to the Denver Broncos. Ayomanor only recorded two catches for 13 yards on those targets. Still, it's encouraging to see him draw so many looks from Titans rookie quarterback Cameron Ward in the pairings' first time sharing the field in a regular-season game. Ayomanor and the Titans' passing offense face another tough matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. The Rams held the Houston Texans to 188 receiving yards in Week 1 and should be able to put significant pressure on Ward, who was sacked six times in his Week 1 matchup against the Broncos. Ayomanor should not be started by fantasy managers in Week 2, but he's a name to monitor as a long-term play if he keeps earning a significant target share in Tennessee.

Elic Ayomanor The Clear-Cut WR2 in Titans Offense

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor is emerging as the clear-cut WR2 in the offense. While his Week 1 box score was modest, with only two catches for 13 yards against the Denver Broncos, the usage tells a different story. Ayomanor drew seven targets, far outpacing veteran Tyler Lockett (1) and fellow rookie Chimere Dike (1). Even with the Titans leaning heavily on 12 personnel, Ayomanor was on the field for 79% of the offensive snaps. That kind of snap share for a rookie in his first NFL game is highly encouraging. With quarterback Cam Ward expected to settle in and gain confidence as the season progresses, Ayomanor profiles as a strong buy-low candidate in fantasy. The Titans face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, a defense that dominated Houston in their opener, so Ayomanor isn't a recommended fantasy start just yet. However, if his role as WR2 continues, a breakout game feels inevitable.

Elic Ayomanor Sees a Heavy Target Share

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver saw seven targets come his way on Sunday, trailing only first-round picks Travis Hunter and Tetairoa McMillan amongst rookies at the position. Unfortunately, he was only able to convert those looks into two receptions for 13 yards against a stout Denver defense. Ayomanor's heavy workload was likely the result of top option Calvin Ridley being shadowed by All-Pro corner Patrick Surtain II. Still, the thought has been that one of the Titans' rookie receivers would have a chance to emerge on a relatively weak depth chart. After one week, it appears that Ayomanor will have a substantial role. While the Titans' passing game was completely ineffective on Sunday, brighter days should be ahead with Cam Ward under center, and Ayomanor is worth a stash in deep leagues.

Elic Ayomanor Faces Broncos in NFL Debut

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor is set to make his NFL debut against the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon. The rookie out of Stanford projects to operate as the team's No. 3 receiver behind Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett. On one hand, Ayomanor could see a bump in opportunities if Ridley is smothered by Patrick Surtain II and simply becomes a non-factor in the passing attack. On the other hand, though, many of those targets will be funneled to Lockett, and the Broncos' generally strong defense could rattle Ward enough to the point where he's ineffective passing to all of his receivers. Ayomanor is a fine fantasy stash, but he should be left on your bench until we have a clearer understanding of his exact role and usage in the Titans' offense.

Elic Ayomanor Listed as a Starter for Titans

Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com writes that rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor is listed alongside Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett as a starter on the team's unofficial depth chart entering the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sunday against the hosting Denver Broncos. Ayomanor flashed in training camp and the preseason for Tennessee and displayed some strong chemistry with fellow rookie quarterback Cameron Ward. While the 22-year-old will probably go undrafted in all 12-team fantasy leagues, he's at least a young receiver to put on your watch list going into the 2025 campaign. Ayomanor played ahead of fellow rookie Chimere Dike in the preseason and has a leg up on the WR3 role already. Ridley is going to be the overwhelming favorite for the majority of targets, but don't rule out Ayomanor passing Lockett on the depth chart sooner than later.

Elic Ayomanor Developing Strong Rapport With Cam Ward

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor has been developing a strong connection with fellow rookie Cam Ward, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN. Ayomanor has consistently impressed coaches during camp, and he said, "don't be surprised" if the fourth-rounder is the number two receiver. Veteran Calvin Ridley is entrenched as the team's number one, but Ayomanor has a promising prospect profile and has been flashing throughout training camp and preseason. He totaled five catches for 72 yards on nine targets in the preseason, catching multiple passes from Ward. The Stanford product faces little competition for a steady number of routes, with only veterans Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson plus rookie Chimere Dike in the mix. The target competition is thin as well, with Ridley demanding a decent share along with Chig Okonkwo, but there is an opportunity to emerge. He's a great dart throw with one of the last picks in drafts.

Elic Ayomanor Starts, Nabs Three Catches In Titans' Win

Wide receiver Elic Ayomanor started and caught all three of his targets for 25 yards in Tennessee's preseason-concluding victory against the Minnesota Vikings on Friday. The rookie from Stanford already has developed a connection with Titans quarterback Cameron Ward and looks to be carving out a role for 2025. Ayomanor set up a touchdown with a red zone target on Friday, a week after hauling in a 47-yard pass from Ward. Though Calvin Ridley is all but sure to be the Titans' No. 1 receiver, Ayomanor's competition for playing time is journeyman Van Jefferson and fellow rookie Chimere Dike, making immediate playing time look realistic.

Elic Ayomanor has Emerged as "Top Target-Getter"

Tennessee Titans rookie fourth-round wide receiver Elic Ayomanor has "emerged as one of the top target-getters in the Titans offense this camp," according to Easton Freeze of A to Z Sports. Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett are among those expectd to sit out of the second preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, so Ayomanor and fellow rookie Chimere Dike should see plenty of work alongside rookie quarterback Cameron Ward. The 22-year-old failed to corral either of his two targets in the preseason opener last weekend versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he is slowly solidying a key role in the Titans' passing attack in his first year in the NFL. Ridley is the unquestioned WR1 in this offense, but it's entirely possible that Ayomanor leapfrogs Lockett at some point as the WR2. Ayomanor is outside RotoBaller's top 100 wideouts right now.

Elic Ayomanor a Week 1 Starter for Titans?

Tennessee Titans wide receiver rookie Elic Ayomanor was selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft following two excellent seasons at Stanford, in which he racked up 125 receptions for 1,844 yards and 12 touchdowns. Titans insider Easton Freeze believes the 206-pound pass-catcher will start for the team right away. "I'm calling my shot: I think 4th Round rookie Elic Ayomanor will be out there on the Titans' opening offensive play from scrimmage in Week 1. He's been my guy since the draft process, and I believe in his ability to both physically and mentally get up to speed in the NFL in a hurry," Freeze wrote. "He's the only true X receiver on this roster for my money, and that's where I think he's lined up to begin the year. I was really encouraged by what we've seen from him in practice so far, and look forward to his continued progress in Training Camp." While expectations for Tennessee's offense should be tempered with rookie quarterback Cam Ward under center, Ayomanor is undervalued in deeper fantasy football leagues if he's an opening-day starter. Many believed he would be selected in the top two rounds of April's draft, but he slipped to Day 3 and is evidently getting noticed early in his NFL career.
