Miles Sanders ($5,700) - Philadelphia Eagles The Eagles are fresh off a first-round bye and have their sights set on their divisional rival New York Giants in what will be their third matchup between each other on the year. With everyone itching to play the QB and WR pieces on this team, I want Miles Sanders on a good portion of my GPP lineups to differentiate from the field. Many are going to rush to play Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown, who they have been waiting to play for weeks, and I mean, I can’t blame them. Last week we saw Kirk Cousins throw for 273 yards and a touchdown and he was also able to sneak one in from the 1-yard line - while recency bias will be in full effect I’m going to back up to week 14 where Sanders ran for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 17 carries. The Giants’ defense is not great at stopping the run, and they are likely to put a QB spy on Jalen Hurts for most of the game. This is going to leave Sanders with a lot of space with linebackers more focused on the QB and with Hurts still not playing 100% from that shoulder injury, I think they are going to rely on Sanders a bit more than usual. Lane Johnson, a crucial lineman, is also going to be returning from injury and I think we are going to see a night-and-day difference between the Eagles/Giants matchup we saw in week 18 and the one played this week.
